JUBILEE VISION CAMPAIGN

Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you (Leviticus 25:10)

We know the challenges that children and families face are increasing: anxiety, trauma, vulnerable family units, depression, poverty. Now, during our Year of Jubilee, we recognize the need for reconciliation, restoration, justice, and joy for the entire community of First Church, and especially for our children.

This campaign establishes a foundation of faith for the children of First Church, fosters a bedrock of well-being for kids in our community through the North Campus, and strengthens the core of First Church through liberation from debt.

  • By investing deeply in our youngest children, we can set the stage for the faith leaders of tomorrow by creating designated funds to meet the growing needs of the branches Children’s Ministry: Nursery, spark, and ignite, today and in the years to come. We aim to do this through creating an endowment and an emerging ministry fund.
  • By investing in the North Campus, we can revitalize a once-vibrant house of worship into a community hub of creativity, education, and restoration through which children can live into the goodness of God.
  • By accelerating the repayment of debt accrued by becoming an independent church, it ensures that First Church can respond in an ever-changing world, empowering the faith leaders of tomorrow to respond to the Holy Spirit’s call without the burdens of past decisions.

These faithful actions are a way for us to celebrate and sacrifice with a sense of joy about what God is doing in our midst, and what God will do in the lives of children among us.
